Programs and Community Outreach Trustee

About the opportunity

This is a volunteer governance role supporting the leadership team, reviewing performance and budgets, and championing the Mission's work to open doors to partnerships, networks, and resources.

What you'll do

• Provide strategic oversight and direction for all programs and community outreach initiatives.
• Safeguard the Mission's vision, values, and charitable purpose in every activity.
• Review program performance, impact reports, and budgets to ensure accountability.
• Support and advise the Programs and Community Outreach Manager and the leadership team.
• Help ensure the Mission operates within legal, ethical, and financial standards.
• Champion the Mission's work, opening doors to partnerships, networks, and resources.
• Participate in trustee and board meetings and contribute to key decisions.

Qualifications & skills

• Commitment to the vision and values of El-Rishon Evangelical Foundation.
• Experience in leadership, governance, ministry, or the nonprofit/charity sector.
• Sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to act in the Mission's best interest.
• Strategic thinking with a heart for people and service.
• Ability to review reports, budgets, and plans objectively.
• Strong networks, or the willingness to build partnerships on the Mission's behalf.

Key relationships

• Reports to: Chairman of the Board
• Works closely with: Executive Director, Programs and Community Outreach Manager, Fellow Trustees
• Engages with: Partners, Churches, Community Leaders, Donors, NGOs

Success indicators

• Programs and outreach remain aligned with the Mission's vision and values.
• Strong governance, accountability, and reporting maintained.
• Growing network of partners, sponsors, and supporters.
• Leadership team supported and strengthened.
• Increased trust, credibility, and visibility of the Mission.
